Ghana’s 2024 Presidential Debate Scheduled For October 22

The presidential debates organized by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) are set for the approaching elections.

October 22, 2024 is the scheduled date of the first presidential debate; the second one is scheduled for November 19, 2024.

On November 5, 2024, a vice presidential debate is also scheduled.

The IEA just released a statement outlining plans for five Evening Encounters, one Vice Presidential Debate, and two Presidential Debates in the run-up to the polls on December 7.

Starting on Wednesday, September 18, the Evening Encounters will run until Tuesday, October 15.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), meanwhile, has said that their flagbearer will not take part in the discussions due to doubts over the legitimacy of the organizers.
