Liverpool Turn Down Real Madrid’s Bid For Trent Alexander-Arnold Ahead Of Transfer Window.

Liverpool has rejected Real Madrid’s attempt to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Spanish team  formally expressed interest in signing the England international, whose contract expires at the Bernabeu next year.

To find out if Liverpool was willing to sell Alexander-Arnold to them during the winter transfer window, Real Madrid got in touch with the Anfield management. However, Liverpool made it apparent that they had no interest in negotiating the 26-year-old’s January departure by not discussing any numbers.

Liverpool has denied rumors circulating in Spain that their vice captain has already told them he wants to go with Real Madrid. With talks over an agreement, they continue to hope that he will dedicate his future to his boyhood club.

Alexander-Arnold can formally discuss a potential free transfer at the end of the season with international clubs starting on January 1. He is unlikely to be leaving over the next month, as evidenced by Liverpool’s strong reaction to Real Madrid’s first attempt to persuade him to sign a pre-contract agreement.

Since Dani Carvajal’s season-ending anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in October, Real Madrid has been looking to bolster their right-back position. The 32-year-old Spain international’s perfect successor, in their opinion, is Alexander-Arnold.

By selling a vital asset in the middle of the season, Liverpool does not want to jeopardize their chances of winning the Premier League and the Champions League this year.
