Market Woman Discovered Dead In Bush Near Anwomaso-High Tension
In the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region, at Kumasi Anwomaso-High Tension, a middle-aged market woman was found dead in a bush on the side of the road earlier today.
The woman was reportedly well-known in the community for her work as a food vendor before switching to selling gari.
Every day after the market closed, she would see her daughter, who owns a drugstore.
But when she didn’t go to her daughter’s pharmacy yesterday as usual, there was cause for alarm.
She didn’t answer the phone when called multiple times.
Her lifeless body was found in the jungle on the side of the road this morning, much to the dismay of the locals.
The Oduom Police Station was informed of the event right away.
The police discovered her phone, GHS800 in cash, and a few items connected to the market when they arrived at the location.
Interestingly, there were no outward indications of an attack or physical harm.
The woman’s body has been brought to the mortuary at Emena Hospital for an autopsy while the police carry out their ongoing inquiry into the cause of her death.
