11 Dead, 50 remain Trapped In Major Landslide Incident In Cameroon
Large-scale flooding and landslides have been caused by recent, intense rains that have pounded portions of Central Africa.
Local officials in Cameroon’s West Region said Friday evening that 11 people had died in a landslide caused by rain.
Following the burial of three passenger buses, road equipment, and numerous workers in a landslide on a steep hill in La Falaise, close to Dschang Town, four remains were first retrieved on Tuesday.
It is estimated that over fifty victims are still buried beneath the debris.
