Early on Saturday morning, a head-on collision between an O.A. bus and a motorcycle on the Berekum-Sunyani road resulted in the immediate deaths of two individuals.
A motorcycle with the registration number M-22-BA-2109 and an O.A. bus with the number GT 5768-18 were involved in an accident on the Berekum-Sunyani trunk road.
The two people on the motorcycle died as a result of the incident.
Driver of a Toyota Rav4, eyewitness Kofi Yeboah, stated that the O.A. bus was carrying passengers from Accra to Berekum.
The bus struck Yeboah’s automobile and then the motorcycle head-on when it was trying to pass him close to Amanfoso. This is how the deaths occurred.
Five passengers are still undergoing medical care, according to Bugri Elijah, the Sunyani Manager of O.A. busses, who also claimed that passengers with lesser injuries had been treated and released.
He reassured drivers that the corporation will pay for all of the victims’ medical bills and asked them to drive carefully in the accident-prone area.
In order to keep the road safe for passengers, the Fire Service and Police were attempting to rescue the bus from the valley at the time of reporting.
