26 Individuals For Displaying And Firing Toy Guns In Public.

Concerns over public safety and peace have been raised by the Ghana Police Service’s arrest of 26 people for flaunting and firing fake guns in public.

The accused will appear in court to face charges after completing an investigation.

The Ghana Police Service said in a statement that many toy firearms found on the accused are being inspected as part of the current investigation.

In order to apprehend other people engaged in comparable activities, which have lately grown in popularity in several regions of the nation, the police have also started special operations.

Because it is illegal under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), which deals with “offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace,” the police advise the public—especially young people—to abstain from such behavior.

Authorities are issuing this warning in an effort to uphold law and order and guarantee public safety and tranquility.

The public was reassured by the Ghana Police Service that they are still dedicated to maintaining national security and peace.

The police have promised to act quickly to stop such events in the future, and more investigations are being conducted to stop the worrying trend of toy gun misuse.

In order to preserve public safety while the inquiry is ongoing, the public has been asked to notify the authorities of any similar events.
