The Minister disclosed that Agenda 111 has been extended to encompass two psychiatric hospitals and one national psychiatric hospital, for a total of 114 facilities, even though no project has been finished.

These remarks were delivered by Dr. Oko Boye during his appearance before the Parliamentary Assurances Committee.

The initiatives are expected to cost a total of $1.756 billion.

According to the Minister, Hospital Infrastructure, the body overseeing the projects, has made progress ranging from 5% to over 80%, and has reached different levels of completion.

The Minister promised Parliament that by the end of 2024, over 28 facilities will be operational, despite confronting problems such land acquisition, architectural works, and the locations of the projects. However, he cautioned that specifics can differ.

When the projects are completed, more than 60,000 people would be employed.

The Minister of Health guaranteed that the projects will be completed in order to benefit the public.

The Minister claimed that the architectural drawings and cost data were not immediately available, but the Committee has ordered that they be provided.
