Asiedu Nketia: Ato Forson Won’t Yield to Government Persecution

Party supporters have been reassured by Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), that Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson will not yield to attempts by the government to punish him.

Even if the government is able to put Ato Forson in jail, Asiedu Nketia claims that this won’t scare him or the party.

As politicians, we aren’t scared of prison. Many politicians have gone to jail and returned to do great things for their nations,” he boldly said.

He urged the chiefs of the area, Ajumako Enyan Essiam, and the people of the Central Region to support Ato Forson.

During the NDC’s celebration of the June 4th uprising’s 45th anniversary, this call was made.

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, for her part, stated that she believed God would defend Ato Forson and that divine intervention had already started by revealing those who were scheming against him.

She pleaded with the people of Ghana to vote for Ato Forson and the NDC in the December 7, 2024, general elections.

“The economy is in trouble, with the cedi’s depreciation at its worst under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government,” she said, criticizing the present administration.
