Temitope Adetanju, 25, has been placed under arrest for reportedly putting a piece of firewood in the vagina of a 12-year-old girl (name withheld) who had been caught stealing in Ogun State’s Isewo, Obada Oko, and Ewekoro Local Government Area in Nigeria.
It was discovered that the victim had pilfered N200 worth of biscuits, N150 worth of Milo, and N300 worth of goods from Mr. Fruit.
According to the DAILY POST, the child’s guardian allegedly subjected her to extreme physical abuse because of her propensity of stealing.
Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect was taken into custody by the Divisional Police Officer in Obada-Oko. The incident happened on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at around 11:00 a.m.
Odutola stated,:
“On June 13, 2024, Temitope Adetanju, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested by the DPO in Obada-Oko, Ogun State, for allegedly inserting a sizable piece of firewood into the private part of a 12-year-old girl, accusing her of stealing a biscuit worth N200, Milo worth N150, and Mr. Fruit worth N300.”
She explained that upon receiving the information, officers from the Juvenile Welfare Center were deployed to apprehend the suspect, Temitope Adetanju.
Odutola further stated that the suspect admitted to committing the crimes she was accused of.
She added that, investigations are ongoing to ensure that all aspects of the incident are thoroughly.
