Akufo-Addo Defends Appointment Of 16 New Judges

The appointment of 16 new Court of Appeal judges was vigorously defended by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who said that the needs of the times demanded their service.

The difficulties presented by an overworked court system are the reason behind this large increase in the Court of Appeal’s staff.

During a ceremony at the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo promptly made these statements following the induction of the new judges.

He pointed out that increasing the number of judges is essential to raising the judicial system’s efficacy and efficiency.

The President also stated that the Chief Justice has chosen to create permanent Court of Appeal panels in five different places across the nation, with the backing of the Judicial Council.

The goal of this project is to shorten the backlog of cases and speed up the administration of justice.

Speaking for his fellow recently appointed justices, Justice Gyamfi Dankwa conveyed to President Akufo-Addo his sincere thanks.

He promised that they would serve the people of Ghana with fidelity and diligence, promising not to let them down.
