Gomoa West Drivers Demonstrate Over Poor Roads

In order to express their displeasure with the state of their roads, taxi drivers between Apam Junction and Apam Township and Apam Junction and Gomoa Dawurampong have adopted extreme steps.

They have stopped traffic on both routes in order to hold a protest against the government.

Over 500 people are still stuck as a result of the rally, including several schoolchildren and Obrempong Nyanful Krampah, the Omanhene of the Gomoa Ahunako Traditional Council.

The protesters claimed that the three Gomoa constituencies had extremely poor roads.

The irate passengers related terrifying tales of how the poor roads have contributed to many local deaths.

In an interview, the demonstration’s organizer, Stephen Dadzie, stated that in 2016, voters in all three Gomoa constituencies supported the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the hope that their roads would be fixed.

But he bemoaned the fact that their MP and DCE had broken their pledges, leaving the roads in a terrible condition.

As a result, they are calling for immediate action to resolve their ongoing road problems.
