Over 300,000 Laptops given to GES Teachers under ‘One Teacher – One Laptop’ policy.
The company responsible for supplying and distributing laptop computers to teachers under the government’s One Teacher – One Laptop initiative has announced the successful completion of the program.
This initiative was designed to benefit over 300,000 teachers under the Ghana Education Service (GES), with the goal of digitalizing education and enhancing research capabilities among educators.
In a statement, the company expressed, “We are pleased to announce the successful nationwide supply, training, and distribution of laptops to qualified teachers, including those in Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, and Senior High Schools, as well as teachers on study leave and non-teaching staff under the Ghana Education Service (GES).”

The statement also highlighted the establishment of 24/7 Aftercare Centers across the country to provide ongoing customer and technical support for teachers.
“Our user-friendly Katcare App enables teachers to book repair services and purchase laptop accessories. Additionally, teachers can reach us through our toll-free number, 0800790555, to report any complaints or inquiries,” the statement added.
The company expressed gratitude to the teacher unions—the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) as well as to stakeholders, the government, the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, and regulatory institutions for their roles in ensuring the successful execution of the initiative.
