2024 Elections: Mahama & Bawumia To Submit Contesting Forms Today

Today, September 9, 2024, will see the filing of nominations for the 2024 election by the flagbearers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Mahama and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, respectively.

At nine in the morning, Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, his running companion, will be the first to arrive at the Electoral Commission (EC) office.

The couple will be accompanied by a few NPP leaders and members.

Dr. Bawumia said in a Facebook post that the filing will be followed by a speech to the public at the NPP headquarters.

With regards to former President Mahama, the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia will file on his behalf at 2pm.

“The submission of the forms by our National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, represents a pivotal step in our campaign for change on December 7.

“We are all in this together, working with Ghanaians to RESET Ghana’s economy and ‘Build the Ghana we want together,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
