Following a horrific accident on the Obuasi-Kwapia route in the Ashanti region, one person has been officially declared deceased and others are undergoing medical attention.
The accident happened on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 1:45 p.m.
When a Dodge car with the license plate WR 810-S reached a part of the road at Dadwen, it reportedly swerved out of his lane and struck an approaching Ford transit bus with the license plate AS 4116-4, which was being driven by Emmanuel Manu, a 28-year-old man with 11 passengers.
Both vehicles’ occupants were hurt to varying degrees, and they were taken urgently to the Obuasi Government Hospital for medical attention.
While inquiries were conducted, the deceased’s body was placed in the same hospital morgue.
This follows an accident exactly a week today that claimed 13 lives and left scores injured.
