Bawumia Promises To Revitalize Juapong Textiles With ‘Buy Ghana First’ Initiative

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, has stated that he is prepared to support local manufacturing through his Buy Ghana First program, which he claims will revitalize regional businesses such as Juapong Textiles.

At Juapong in the North Tongu Constituency, Dr. Bawumia continued his campaign tour in the Volta Region by meeting with imams, chiefs, and members of the clergy.

Dr. Bawumia clarified in his speech that the law will support the strategy and mandate that local producers provide the majority of the goods the nation consumes.

According to him, importation will be permitted if the local producer is unable to supply Ghanaians with enough products.

One of the local manufacturers that will profit from such initiatives to get back on its feet is Juapong Textiles, according to Dr. Bawumia.

Togbe Kokroko Ananse Titriku III, the acting supreme leader of Juapong, promised Dr. Bawumia his and his people’s support.

He expressed the expectation that North Tongu and the Volta Region as a whole would thrive under his leadership.
