24-Year-Old Survives Shooting On Route To Farm In Nkwanta
After surviving a gun attack while traveling to his farm, a 24-year-old farmer is presently undergoing treatment at Nkwanta St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in the Oti district.
Solomon Amenu and another individual were on a motorcycle to the farm on Saturday morning when the attack took place.
Farmers are worried about their safety because this is the second attack in the Nkwanta South Municipality in as many days.
Amenu claimed in an interview that they were unexpectedly surprised by unidentified gunmen who started shooting.
Amenu was shot several times in the right arm, but he escaped and hurried home before being sent to the hospital for treatment.
Residents are furious and afraid as a result of the incident because of the area’s increasing crime rates.
Locals are urging the police to act quickly to protect everyone’s safety, particularly that of the farmers in the region.
