Papa Kwesi Nduom To Organize “Bring Back GN Bank” Demo This November

Papa Kwesi Nduom, the founder and leader of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), has said that he will conduct a protest at the end of November to call on authorities to resurrect his now-defunct GN Bank.

The rally is scheduled during the final week of November 2024 in the Central Region.

“It is our intention to hold the ‘Bring Back GN Bank’ rally in my hometown, Elmina, so stay tuned for the official announcement and location,” Papa Kwesi stated.

“We want people to join us, to stand with us, and to make it clear to the nation that the closure of GN Bank was needless, harmful, and deeply damaging.”

Mr. Nduom expressed his dissatisfaction with the demise of GN Bank after the government’s 2017 banking sector changes in a Facebook broadcast titled “Disappointed but Not Discouraged” on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Nduom bemoaned the situation of the economy while reflecting on what he referred to as “the journey of business in Ghana.” He revealed that Group Nduom’s operations were responsible for some 70,000 direct jobs, many of which were lost when GN Bank was shut down.

Papa Kwesi regularly interacts with the public on his Facebook page, where he talks about important topics including unemployment, the banking industry, the economy, and good government.
