One Person Dies, Numerous Properties Damaged In Atonsu Bokuro Fire Incident
A fire at Atonsu Bokuro in the Ashanti Region’s Asokwa Municipality has damaged multiple properties and claimed one life.
The fire, which began at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 18, destroyed approximately nine rooms and damaged a large number of items, according to reports.
According to reports, the deceased, Jerry, 17, was asleep in one of the apartments when the fire started.
The fire was successfully contained by the Ghana National Fire Service. However, Bernard Nyemi-Tei, the Asokwa Municipal Fire Commander, pointed out that the rescue squad faced numerous difficulties getting into the structure.
The body of the deceased has been transported to the morgue by the Ghana Police Service.
