Between December 1, 2024, and January 15, 2025, visitors can enter Ghana without requiring prior authorization, taking advantage of a smooth Visa-on-arrival procedure.
This project is a component of the well-known “December in GH” campaign, which is a part of the larger “Beyond the Return” initiative, which aims to promote Ghana as a leading destination for heritage and culture tourism.
The goal of the policy is to attract more tourists to Ghana so they can enjoy its lively December celebrations, rich cultural legacy, and exciting activities.
“This is a game-changer for travellers who want to immerse themselves in the spirit of Ghana during this festive season,” said Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
Ghana’s transport minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, has instructed airlines to upgrade their systems as soon as possible to comply with the new rules in order to guarantee a seamless implementation.
Officials are encouraging visitors to take advantage of the hassle-free entry and experience everything Ghana has to offer, as December in GH is filled with vibrant festivals, concerts, and cultural events.
