In his area, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has given 100 wheelchairs to those with physical limitations.
According to the MP, this action is a part of his continuous pledge to thank his constituents after every election cycle.
Ablakwa thanked the constituents for their support and promised to continue improving his service to them in a Facebook post on Monday, December 16.
“This weekend, I continued with my tradition of offering a little gesture of appreciation to my beloved constituents immediately after every election victory. Yesterday, I donated 100 wheelchairs to my special constituents.
“4 years ago, we took care of the medical bills of children on admission at the Children’s Ward of the Battor Catholic Hospital. The tradition continues. Thank you for our 93.12% victory. I shall serve you better than ever.”
With 41,073 votes, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa was able to hold onto his seat in the North Tongu constituency. With 3,035 votes, Dr. John Savior Eleblu Yao of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) came in second.
