Why Inaki Williams Was Missed Out on Copa Del Rey Clash- Coach explains

Ernesto Valverde. Athletic Bilbao boss has explained why his forward, Inaki Williams wasn’t part of his squad for the Copa Del Rey clash.

Inaki Williams was not able to play for his team on Thursday as they defeated Eldense in the round of 32 in the Spanish Copa Del Rey.

The coach has explained that the striker has been suffering from a knee injury after his return from the World Cup.

The Ghanaian striker was sidelined in an attempt to keep him safe for their next clash against Osasuna on Monday. Valverde explained.

“Inaki has been having some knee problems since the World Cup in Qatar (where he played for team Ghana). So, we are trying to take care of him so that he can be available,” he stated.

Inaki Willams featured in all three games for the Black Stars at the group stage in World Cup. His brother Nico Williams who had his fair their previous game also played for the Spanish side at the World Cup.
