President John Dramani Mahama has instructed the Inspector General of Police, George Akufo Dampare, to investigate the deaths of eight individuals during the 2020 and 2024 general elections.
The investigations will focus on incidents of electoral violence in Techiman South and Ablekuma North, which resulted in the fatalities. As part of the directive, the IGP is expected to provide periodic updates to the president.
