The Office of the President has directed all heads of government institutions to obtain comprehensive information on employees who have been added to the payroll since December 7, 2024, in an effort to guarantee the integrity and correctness of government payroll records.
Maintaining accountability and transparency in payroll management procedures is the goal of the request, which is a component of ongoing initiatives under the John Mahama government.
For each employee added within the allotted time, heads of government institutions must submit the employee’s full name, title, employee identification number (if applicable), date of appointment, and date of payroll addition.
The Office of the President must receive the information by January 31, 2025, at the latest.
The directive emphasises the importance of this data in ensuring the integrity of the government’s payroll system.
Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff in a letter assured that any further clarification or questions regarding the directive can be addressed by contacting the Office of the President.
