ECG Transformers Damaged By Thieves In Bogoso
Three transformers owned by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in Bogoso, Western Region, have been vandalized by some unidentified individuals.
According to reports that the GNA has access to, the circuit that supplied water to the community at Bepoh Bridge and a number of bungalows at Anlonkwanta included two of the impacted transformers, a 50kVA and a 200kVA.
The circuit did not include the other impacted transformer, a specialized 100kVA unit at Samahu.
Awal Boye, ECG’s Western Regional Public Relations Officer, said that police had been notified of the occurrence and that investigations were under progress.
He advised the public to be vigilant and report any unusual activity around ECG installations.
