Year-Old Banker Crowned Paramount Queen By Nkoranza Traditional Council
Celestina Saah Kontorh, a 39-year-old banker, has been appointed the new paramount queen by the Nkoranza Traditional Council in the Bono East region.
The stool name for the enstoolment ceremony was Nana Yaa Sarpomaa III.
Nana Yaa Sarpomaa III hails from the Gyaapomu Family of Nkoranza, the royal family of queen mothers.
Her enstoolment follows the demise of the previous Queen Mother, Nana Yaa Adutwuwaa Dudaa Kani who passed away in the year 2022.
Ms. Saah Kontorh was nominated by the paramount chief, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV, and approved by the Abusuapanin and other royal family members.
The Nkoranza Traditional Council’s Ankobeahene, Oheneba Agyei Baffoe, claims that Ms. Saah Kontorh was selected to assist the Nkoranzahene in promoting progress and upholding regional harmony.
He took use of the occasion to invite businesspeople and investors to investigate prospects in the area.
On October 22, 1986, Nana Yaa Sarpomaa III was born in Nkoranza. She attended Mmofratro Girls in Kumasi after starting her schooling at Nkoranza St. Theresah’s School.
Also she graduated with a degree from Garden City University and an HND from Sunyani Technical University.
She was employed at the National Investment Bank (NIB) in Accra prior to her enstoolment.
Residents and queen mothers welcomed the new queen mother, expressing optimism that her partnership with the chief will usher in a new era of development and peace for the people of Nkoranza.
They anticipate stability and growth in the Nkoranza traditional area.
