Wooden Stalls At Lapaz New Market Go Up In Flames

A huge fire that raged through the Lapaz New Market area has damaged a number of wooden structures.
Structures mainly utilized for domestic purposes were turned to ashes by the fire, which is said to have begun at around seven in the morning.
As the fire intensified, several locals rushed to save their possessions.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to neighboring residential homes by arriving on time and putting in endless effort to contain it.
In order to collect any intact property and make sure that no concealed flames rekindle, the GNFS officer in charge verified that cooling and salvaging activities are still in progress.
Locals in the Lapaz New Market neighborhood bemoaned the loss of their possessions and means of subsistence while expressing relief that no one was killed in the fire.
Investigators have begun looking into what caused the fire, but initial estimates point to either an electrical malfunction or an unattended open flame.
