Ing. Julius Kpekpena is expected to be named the Acting Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), pending final confirmation from reliable sources.
Previously serving as ECG’s Director of Engineering before moving to the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), Kpekpena is poised to take on the challenge of steering the company through operational struggles and ongoing privatization talks.
He would be succeeding David Asamoah, who has held the acting role since September 26, 2024, following the resignation of Samuel Dubik Mahama.
Before assuming this role, Mr. Asamoah was the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Commercial Services at ECG.
