Shake-Up At NCA: Cyber Security Director Fired By Sam George

Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has dismissed Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo from his role as Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).

Following his termination, Mr. Osafo-Maafo has been directed to transfer his responsibilities to the Acting Director General of the NCA.

In accordance with paragraph 8 of his appointment letter, he will be compensated with three months’ salary in place of a notice period.

Minister Sam George extended his gratitude to Mr. Osafo-Maafo for his contributions to the nation.

The termination letter, signed by the Ministry’s Chief Director, Alexander Yaw Arphul, and dated February 14, states: “I wish to inform you that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security of the National Communications Authority, effective immediately.”

You are directed to hand over your duties to the Ag Director General of the National Communications Authority. In line with paragraph 8 of your appointment letter, you will be given three months’ salary in lieu of notice. The honourable Minister extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”
