Nii Lantey Vanderpuye To Lead DRIP As National Coordinator

Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, a former Odododiodio member of parliament, has been named the National Coordinator for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) by President John Dramani Mahama.

His appointment puts him at the vanguard of improving Ghana’s road infrastructure, which is an important area for the country’s development.

The goal of DRIP, which former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo introduced in July 2024, is to upgrade the road systems in each of the 275 constituencies.

The program gives Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) the tools and resources they need to build and maintain roads efficiently.

With an emphasis on decentralizing infrastructure development, the initiative gives local governments the authority to carry out necessary road improvements effectively and openly.

Because of his ardent support for accountability and openness in government-led infrastructure projects, Mr. Vanderpuye’s selection is noteworthy.

In his capacity as National Coordinator, he will supervise DRIP’s implementation and work with important parties to make sure it is successful.
