
For the first time in over six years, a Ghanaian has climbed to the highest decision-making body at the Confederation of African Football after the Football Association’s president, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, was voted onto the esteemed Executive Council.
Mr Okraku secured a massive endorsement after pulling more than the required votes to win the postion and represent the West African Football Union Zone B.
Although, he has been president of the Ghana Football Association for just five years, Kurt Okraku is accorded the utmost respect by his colleagues due to his amazing contribution to the game.
His rise to the top job comes after changing the face of the game in Ghana and significantly contributing to the improving of football in WAFU Zone B.
Kurt Okraku will be expected to add his valuable knowledge to the enhancement of the sport as CAF transitions into a respected force in African football.
The Ghanaian footballer leader is already touted to work with very key committees at CAF even before his election as an Exco member.
