Mary Moah, 45, drowned in a well in Praga, a Bibiani suburb, in the Western North Region’s Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.
When her family noticed her absence after returning from the farm, the tragic event took place. After several hours of investigating, they realized the gate covering the household well had been opened.
When they looked more closely, they discovered her dead body in the well.
The victim’s brother, Ahmed Awudu, claimed that the family immediately called the Bibiani police and the fire department, who arrived to recover the body.
The circumstances surrounding her fall into the well remain unclear.
The body was subsequently transported to the Bibiani Muslim Cemetery for burial, in line with Islamic customs.
