Baffoe-Bonnie Sworn In As Prisons Service Chief By Mahama
Patience Baffoe-Bonnie has been sworn in as the new Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service by President John Dramani Mahama.

A significant shift in leadership within the nation’s security sector has occurred with the official swearing-in of Patience Baffoe-Bonnie as the new Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service by President John Dramani Mahama.
In addition to leadership changes at the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) and Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), her hiring is a component of a larger restructuring initiative.
The swearing-in ceremonies for Samuel Basentale Amadu, the interim Comptroller-General of the GIS, and Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, the acting Chief Fire Officer of the GNFS, have been rescheduled.
President Mahama clarified that procedural variations in the appointment procedures of the various services are the reason for the postponement of their swearing-in.
Their official inductions will take place once their service boards are fully constituted and their appointments are confirmed.
The restructuring aims to enhance efficiency and strengthen leadership across Ghana’s key security institutions.
