Ghana Mourns Former High Commissioner To India, Sam Pee Yalley

Former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India Sam Pee Yalley, a well-known National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, has died.

The political and diplomatic community is greatly devastated by his passing, which happened on Sunday at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Numerous political personalities have expressed their sorrow over the news, even if the precise cause of his unexpected death has not yet been determined.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, was among the first to express condolences, describing Yalley as a “brother and friend.”

Yalley worked in both the legal and diplomatic domains during his career. A seasoned attorney, he was also the National Pensions Regulatory Authority’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer prior to President John Mahama’s appointment of him as Ghana’s ambassador to India in 2014.

Mr. Yalley was renowned for his dedication to advancing Ghana’s foreign policy and standing up for Ghanaian interests overseas throughout his time there.

Sam Pee Yalley was well-known for his advocacy efforts, especially in advancing female leadership in Ghana, in addition to his diplomatic accomplishments.
