After a fire broke out at Kwadaso, in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region, the top floor of a two-story hostel that housed more than 150 students from the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College was destroyed.
Some of the students claim that the incident happened on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m.
The situation was saved by the Ghana National Fire Service officers’ prompt action, which stopped the fire from spreading to the ground floor.
All of the top floor students’ possessions, including mattresses, laptops, food, stationery, and other necessities, were destroyed in the fire.
Since the school administration reported that several kids had left for the Easter break, no casualties were reported.
So far, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined by officers from the Ghana National Fire Service, as investigations have begun.
