Vice President Opoku-Agyemang to return to Ghana next week – President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will return to Ghana from a medical stay in the United Kingdom by the end of next week.
According to the President, the Vice President has fully recovered and is expected to resume her official duties upon her return.
He made the announcement during a durbar of chiefs and people of the Greater Accra Region in Dodowa, as part of his “Thank You Visit” of the region.
President Mahama added that he had spoken with the Vice President earlier, and she had sent her warm greetings to all Ghanaians.
“I bring you greetings from H.E. the Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. I’m happy to state that I spoke to her on Thursday, May 15, and she will be back in the country before the end of the week. By God’s grace, she’s fully recovered, and she’s going to come back to her duties,” President Mahama said.
- The President also expressed his gratitude to the chiefs and people of the region, as well as to all Ghanaians, for their overwhelming support for him and the National Democratic Congress during the 2024 elections.
