The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 22 new Mpox cases, pushing the country’s total infections to 446 as of August 25, 2025.
According to the Service, there are no new deaths or admissions, with the national death toll still at one.
The latest update follows the August 14 report, when 37 new cases were recorded, bringing the tally at the time to 409.
Health officials explained that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person. Symptoms include fever, skin rashes, and swollen lymph nodes.
The GHS has urged the public to maintain good hygiene and to seek immediate medical attention if they develop warning signs such as fever, headaches, body pains, or rashes.
