Sarkodie Reveals How He Almost Turned the Offer to Hop Bob Marley’s Song

Africa’s most decorated rapper Michael Owusu Addo professionally known as Sarkodie has opened up on what it took him to drop his verse on Bob Marley’s Stir It Up.

Sarkodie was featured on a remix of the late veteran’s track with the Wailers. The track was released today, and fans can’t stop talking about it.

According to the ‘Highest’ in an interview on +44 podcast, he stated he almost let the chance slide away. He stated that he felt he wasn’t worthy of it.

“When I had the email, I almost passed it on and not just out of respect, I felt that I was not worthy to lay my vocals next to the legend. I was really hard on myself,”

 “My manager was like this is a big opportunity. But the artiste side of me was thinking more about the art and not the opportunity.”
