Two firefighters injured as blaze destroys seven rooms at Akyem Moseaso

Firefighters from the Anyinam Fire Station responded to a structure fire at Akyem Moseaso on Friday, November 7, at 11:05 am, which gutted seven rooms in a one-storey building and left two firefighters injured during firefighting operations.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The first crew, led by Mubarak Ismaila, arrived on the scene at 11:10 am and, upon assessing the intensity of the blaze, called for reinforcement from the Bunso Fire Station. The combined teams managed to bring the fire under control by 11:30 am and completely extinguished it at 12:09 pm.

Although seven rooms and their contents were destroyed, firefighters tactically prevented the fire from spreading to nearby structures, averting further damage.

One of the injured firefighters was treated and discharged, while the other remains hospitalized at the Anyinam Health Centre.
