Achimota Forestry Commission Office Vandalized; Multiple Items Reported Stolen.
According to reports, a group of people stormed into the Forestry Commission depot in Achimota, Accra, and took various important items with them.
Anonymous sources claim that the invaders assaulted the building early this morning while brandishing National Democratic Congress (NDC) shirts and shouting, “Our government is now in power.”
Twenty-four air conditioners, laptops, and other crucial Commission equipment were taken during the break-in.
The trespassers also made an unsuccessful attempt to take the keys of recently purchased cars.
Concerns regarding security at state-owned buildings have been raised by the occurrence, especially in light of the political upheaval that followed the 2024 elections.
After being notified, the police quickly came to the site to bring everything under control.
Since then, they have guarded the area and started an inquiry to find and capture the criminals.
Updates are expected as the inquiry develops, although the Forestry Commission has not yet released a public statement on the subject.
