Afia Schwarzenegger Fine GH¢60,000 And Banned From Social Media
An Accra High Court has fined Ghanaian contentious media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger a sum of 60,000 cedis.
Afia Schwarzenegger made derogatory words against National Patriotic Party Ashanti Regional chairman Benard Boasiako who took the matter to court.
The controversial media personality appeared in court today, 31st January 2023 pleaded with the court to rescind her jail term. Before that, she had been doing hide and seek with the court.

Her 10-day jail term was reconsidered after she apologised to the court after she was sentenced. She was also banned from using social media for two years.
Reports indicate she is being held at the High court and will be released after settling the fine. She was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail for the defamatory comments she made about Chairman Wontumi on UTV five months ago.
The Accra High Court convicted her in her absence. Some netizens have reacted to the verdict. Some believe the court’s ruling is in the right direction while others opined it was too harsh.
