Agradaa convicted for charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence

An Accra Circuit Court has convicted Founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry at Weija in Accra, Patricia Asiedua, aka Nana Agradaa.
That was after the self-styled Evangelist, was found guilty on several counts of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.
The court is however yet to sentence the convict until a pregnancy test to be conducted in order to ascertain whether or not Agradaa is pregnant.
Nana Agradaa, according to court documents through an advertisement on her Today-TV channel and other social media platforms urged her victims to give out any amount of money which she will in return double for them.
The documents said the six complainants in the case as well as over one thousand other persons, according to the prosecution came from far and near and attended the all-night service and gave out various sums of money as requested by Nana Agradaa for doubling but she failed to deliver on her promise.
“The accused successfully demanded and received huge sums of money from some members of the public who attended the said all-night service at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, Weija, including complainants in this matter, as indicated on the face of the charge sheet.
“Further investigations revealed that the accused undertook the charlatanic advertisement and subsequent money collection with other persons for the purported money doubling,” the prosecution stated.
