President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reshuffled Hon. Stephen Amoah, formerly Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and MP for Nhyiaeso, to the position of Deputy Minister for Finance. Hon. Stephen Amoah replaces the late Hon. John Kumah, who passed away on March 7, 2024. This appointment, effective immediately, was announced in a statement signed by Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
In light of this reassignment, President Akufo-Addo has nominated Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, MP for Achiase, as the Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, pending parliamentary approval.
President Akufo-Addo, in a statement, voiced optimism that Parliament would swiftly approve his nominee on a bipartisan basis. He urged for expedited approval to enable the nominee to promptly contribute to the government’s objectives during his second term in office.
