Akufo-Addo Names New Boards for GBC and Three State Media Outlets

New boards have been appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and three other state-run media organizations.

Article 168 of the Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449) were followed in the appointment process.

The Ghana News Agency, the Graphic Communications Group Limited, and the New Times Corporation are the other three state media organizations that have new boards.

Article 168 of the Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449) stipulate that the National Commission has appointed the following individuals to the governing boards of public corporations that oversee state-owned media, after consulting with H.E. the President.
