A delegation led by the Afrafranto Alliance’s leader and 2024 presidential contender paid a courtesy call to President-elect John Dramani Mahama at his office on Friday.
The purpose of Mr. Kyerematen’s visit was to encourage a cooperative approach to national development and to formally congratulate Mr. Mahama on his victory in person.
The exchange demonstrated respect for one another and a shared dedication to Ghana’s development.
The former Minister of Trade and Industry emphasized the importance of a government of national unity in a brief speech.
He claimed that doing so would lessen extreme partisanship, stop the habit of abandoned government initiatives, and stop the exclusion of talented people.
In his Great Transformation Plan (GTP), Mr. Kyerematen also discussed the necessity of switching from International Monetary Fund (IMF) interventions to sustainable development.
As he gave Mahama a copy of his Great Transformational Plan, he pointed out that the Alliance for Revolutionary Change is interested in these two themes.
In order to create jobs, he advised Mr. Mahama to concentrate on stabilizing the macroeconomy and make investments in the real sector, particularly in industrialization, agriculture, and tourism.
He also called for a strong campaign against illicit mining and corruption.

Referring to Mr. Kyerematen as a political heavyweight with a progressive approach to national challenges, Mr. Mahama praised Mr. Kyerematen for the action.
He acknowledged the NDC’s transformative potential and pointed out that its goals align with those of the GTP, promising that any ideas that are borrowed would be given credit to Alan.
Regarding the urgent problem of illicit mining, Mr. Mahama acknowledged the presence of sensible laws and rules but emphasized their difficulties in being put into practice.
He emphasized that political meddling has made the issue worse and more difficult to resolve.
Given the terrible effects illegal mining has on the environment and the economy, both presidents agreed that real and ongoing measures are desperately needed to put an end to it.
Speaking on the outside of the gathering, Mr. Mahama wished the NPP well and apologized for the internal strife that caused Alan to leave.
