Annor Walker Reportedly Sacked By GFA

Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has been sacked by the Ghana Football Association.

Annor Walker took the Black Galaxies to the CHAN tournament in Algeria aimed at winning the trophy. Ghana’s previous tournaments under the Kurt Okraku administration have been a fiasco.

Before the Tournament in Algeria, many football enthusiasts and sports journalists questioned his squad for the tournament after omitting some notable names who have been playing creditably well in the BetPawa Premier League.

The Ghana Football Association after elimination from CHAN 2022, decided to sacrifice Annor Walker. According to reports, the Olympics coach refused to listen to advice from his coaching staff.

Black Galaxies’ performance at the tournament depicted how the Ghana Premier League has lost its value. The game against Niger was an embarrassment to watch.

Failing to register a shoot-on-target despite enjoying possession was shameful. Ghana’s football has been relegated in Africa from elite to unknown.

Sports journalists are already asking questions that demand answers. Kurt Okraku’s administration is all talk and not work. Before becoming president of the association, he promised to make the FA better.

The team is expected to land in Ghana on Tuesday morning. Reports from within the FA say the former coach of Accra Great Olympics will no longer be at the helm of affairs.
