Asantehene To Be Present At Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival In September
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been invited by the Oguaa Traditional Council to be the Guest Speaker at the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Grand Durbar on Saturday, September 7.
The invitation was given at the Asanteman Council meeting, which took place at the Manhyia Palace. This served to highlight the close cultural links between the two traditional leaders.
The Sanaahene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Nana Kwaku-Yensu, and Mrs. Charlotte Osei, the chairperson of the Fetu Afahye Planning Committee and a former head of the Ghanaian Electoral Commission, led the group to the Manhyia Palace.
This year’s Fetu Afahye is set to be grand with the Asantehene attending and the new Fetu Afahye Planning Committee organizing. His first visit to Oguaa highlights his role in tradition and unity.
As the spiritual and cultural leader of the Asante Kingdom, his presence adds significance. The collaboration between Asanteman and Oguaaman reflects Ghana’s ethnic harmony and respect for traditional authorities.
