
Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, who is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA) left Accra on Friday, leading a delegation from GHAPOHA to Japan for the annual general meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours.
A press statement issued by Kakra Essamuah, the Director of Communications at the National Democratic Congress (NDC), where Mr Asiedu-Nketiah is also the National Chairman explained that the annual general meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours was taking place in Kobe in Japan.
It explained that the delegation will return to Ghana on October 12, 2025.
In Mr Asiedu-Nketiah’s absence, the Vice Chairman of the NDC, Awudu Sofo Azorka, will act as the National Chairman, it added.

CHAIRMAN ASIEDU-NKETIAH LEAVES FOR JAPAN
The Hon. Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress has left Accra today 3rd October 2025 for a working trip to Japan.
Chairman Asiedu-Nketiah, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA), is leading a delegation of the Authority to attend the Annual General Meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) scheduled to take place in Kobe, Japan.
The delegation will return to Ghana on the 12th of October 2025.
In his absence, the Vice Chairman of the NDC, Comrade Awudu Sofo Azorka, will act as the National Chairman.
