Ghana cannot be spared the effects of the global economic downturn, according to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Dr. Bawumia, Ghana is not an exception to the current global economic problems.
As part of his campaign visit, the Vice president gave an assurance to the clergy in the Central Region that the government is doing everything in its power to lessen the challenges that Ghanaians confront.
He stated:
“It is very clear that the cost of living has gone up across the world. Even when I was in Canada just a few weeks ago, there were similar complaints.
“There has been a major increase in the cost of living, and global inflation has increased fivefold, so there is a problem.”
