Bawumia Opens Otuo Siriboe STEM Junior High School

On Sunday, December 1, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), officially opened the Otuo Siriboe STEM Junior High School in Juaben, Ashanti.

To support teaching and learning, the first-of-its-kind school will focus on STEM education and science labs.

Similar schools are being planned for other regions of the nation by the government.

Nana Otuo Siriboe II, the Paramount Chief of Juaben, thanked the government for naming the school in his honor.

As an engineer by training, the chief agreed to educate some of the students himself.

“I express my gratitude to the government for the honour of having the school named after me. We also acknowledge the progress made in our community and extend our thanks for the establishment of the school. My constituents have committed to supporting Dr. Bawumia in recognition of the advancements in Juaben.”
