On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will extend his campaign trail to the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions, aiming to engage with citizens and garner support for the upcoming December 2024 general elections.
Having previously visited the Eastern, Western, Western North regions, Dr. Bawumia has been actively delivering messages of hope and seeking endorsement from the people of Ghana for his presidential bid.
According to a statement from the Bawumia Campaign Team’s Director of Communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the focus of Dr. Bawumia’s upcoming tour will be on sharing his vision for the mining sector, emphasizing its significance in the economic development of the nation.

“As part of his campaign tour to the Ahafo, Bono and the Bono East Regions, Dr Bawumia will be providing a deeper insight into his vision for the mining sector at a Transformational Dialogue organized by the University of Energy and Natural Resources on Wednesday 8th May 2024.
“On Thursday 9th May 2024, he will be addressing the Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa on the interlinkages of digitalization & corruption in Governance.”
